Beneficiary companies that make up the project consortium:
ENAGÁS
Enagás is a European TSO (Transmission System Operator) with 50 years of experience in the development, operation and maintenance of energy infrastructures. It has more than 12,000 kilometers of gas pipelines, three underground storage facilities and eight regasification plants. The company operates in eight countries: Spain, the United States, Mexico, Peru, Germany, Albania, Greece and Italy. In Spain he is the Technical Manager of the Gas System.
Enagás continues to move towards its commitment to be a carbon neutral company in 2040 and maintains leadership positions in the main sustainability indices in the world.
ESTAMP
World leader in thermal, thermo-acoustic and electromagnetic insulation for the automotive sector. Its products and developments are based on metal parts (aluminum and thin stainless steel) produced through a cold stamping process. The company's mission is to effectively contribute to customer success by providing innovative insulation solutions for the automotive sector, with a clear focus and ambition to be pioneers in the development and production of new solutions for clean mobility. The R&D strategy is organized around 3 drivers:
• Process optimization through the implementation of new technologies.
• New products and services with higher added value for the customer.
• Solutions focused on electric vehicles and clean mobility.
In their diversification and expansion strategy towards new products with high added value where they can apply their differentiating knowledge in the field of stamping processes.
ROVALMA
SME with great interest and experience in R&D projects, being a technological leader in the design and development of high-performance alloys and steels for technologically advanced industrial applications.
His Innovation team addresses the various challenges that have arisen in the area of tools and other engineering applications in a multidisciplinary manner, understanding tool materials, their production, processing and utilization. This approach has led to the development of highly innovative tool materials, new production technologies and advanced testing equipment, as well as methods for process and part manufacturing optimization.
AMES
Company in the automotive sector that, based on R&D, has managed to develop a medical division through the invention of a new material with specific applications in the medical device sector, and that is now clearly committed to entering energy or green fuel applications. '.
In addition, AMES has its own division of bronze and stainless steel, flat and cylindrical filters for chemical and pneumatic applications, so the product to be developed would increase the portfolio of capabilities and products of said division.
In this regard, AMES has been working continuously for more than 10 years on this type of H2 and/or energy generation applications, from SOFC cells with anode support to thermal boilers with self-generation whose results reached the consumer market ahead of time, through the first button type repeater units, to low power electrolyzers (<300 W). All these R&D efforts have allowed them to have a clear idea of the product and begin to consider the systems or integrations market as a potential market for strategic diversification in the coming years.
NANO4ENERGY
Technology-based company (EBT) with great international projection. The main activity of Nano4Energy is the technological development of high added value coatings through magnetron sputtering technology and the implementation of said coatings in industrial coating systems. Due to the requirements of today's coatings, the company has become one of the world leaders in coatings applied using HIPIMS (High Impulse Power Magnetron Sputtering) technology. In addition, Nano4Energy is specialized in the development and manufacturing of HiPIMS power sources that respond to the needs of coatings producing companies in a personalized way.
H2GREEM
National startup born under the Enagás corporate entrepreneurship program, Enagás Emprende, to manufacture electrolyzers. The company's business focuses on the development of hydrogen production systems based on PEM technology from design, construction and integration, to operation and maintenance needs. Despite being a recently created company (07/28/2020), the company's management has extensive experience and knowledge in the development of PEM electrolyzers based on its own technology. The company's expansion strategy involves the development of new PEM electrolyzers with innovative components that allow competitive scaling (megawatt scale) of these systems for which research into new materials, design and manufacturing processes are critical.
